I'm sorry I haven't updated this blog for ages... Just kinda busy with some other things.

Well, I'm back here to the Philippines! I'll definitely write about the experience in Fiji and how I felt about moving back at home after 2 years and a half away from it.

Favor With People

Wow, haven't been updating this blog for ages. Sorry guys! hehe. Anyhow, we just finished the South Pacific Conference in our fellowship. It was awesome. I could write a novel. lol.

This was the sermon on August 21st, Friday and was first written on my Facebook as a note. Just thought I'd share it here on my Blogspot. hehe. :p

Ok, I'm just aimless now. lol. I'm writing this because of Pastor Walsh's sermon entitled 'Favor with People'.

He tells about a man he carefully observed. A man who prays and reads the Bible. He does the things of God. He is basically a man of God. But when he goes home, he is friendless. He don't have the favor with people.

I guess I'm like that. No, it's not a guess. It's a fact. Here in Fiji, at least. I go to church 3 times a week. I'm always present in church activities. Haven't been in outreaches lately though. I love the church. It's been our 'family' here in Fiji.

But reality strikes... I have few friends. Friends that I could say I'm really *close* with. Like close, close. Thank God I have a sister I'm always with. If not for her, I could say I'm always ALL BY MYSELF. lol.

Ahhh. It's frustrating! haha.

I'm shy and quiet. I know.. That's the first impression my friends say. But there's a reason for that... I had no childhood friends aside from my siblings and classmates in school. I mean, you know. In the Phil, at least, you have some playmates and friends in the neighborhood. I got none. I play with my sibs, and sometimes, with our yaya's or nannies. But I don't treat them like that. They are like a family. They took care of us when our parents were not there for us. **hint hint** Guess, you now get it why I'm shy and quiet... Yes, it has something to do with the past. I'll tell it all next time. It's another novel. I mean, story... lol

I hate rejection. I guess, not being able to be close with my rents when I was young somewhat made me feel rejected.

Going back to the story, I'm like that man. I believe I do the things of God yet I don't find the favor with people. lol. Haha. Okay, enough for the emo-ness... I'm not saying I dont have friends. I have few *close* friends that I would really miss when I leave Fiji. I guess, the others cant catch up with me. I'm the person that doesn't talk much when I'm not that close to someone. But I must tell you, I'm easy to get along with. I suck at starting a conversation. It's hard for me to make new friends. Coz in the Phil, they make friends with me. lol. So I thank those friends who took the initiative. lmao. haha.

To my future friends, I'm not that hard to be friends with. I guess, one of the reasons people don't want to be that close to me is because they think the only way to get connected with me is Starbucks, and other some-what expensive places I go to hang out. I thought of that reason because someone has told me once that 'I have expensive taste'... I'm not choosy with those kinds of stuffs. I can eat street foods too, for crying out loud! haha. XD I might be a big spender at times but I also know how to save money.

Ok, whatever.. I just wanna let my future friends know that I wanna be friends with them. It's easy but it's hard. lol. It's easy to be friends with me but it's hard to keep up with me. I'm introvert. Someone must *trigger* that friendliness in me. lol

Favor with People. Why is it so hard to get? Sigh......

3 reasons Pastor Walsh pointed out:

1. Busy-ness --- I'm too busy with nothing. lol. I mean, they are busy with something. Probably, with their own circle of friends.
2. Selfishness --- Okay, I'm not selfish. But maybe somehow. Ahh yeahh... When I have a friend, I want all of their attention,,,in some ways.. lol :p
3. Laziness --- I'm too lazy to make friends... specially if I know that it wont last that long. What do I mean by this? As I've said, I'm easy to be friends with but it's hard to keep up with me. If I think that you're not the type of person who is like my best friend who is talkative (thank goodness she's not on Facebook), I mean hyper friendly not talkative, I'm lazy to make the effort. I know it's demonic. I should get rid of that motto and start to reach out and make friends. Ahh. I hate rejection. lol.

Ok... I dunno why I shared this out. Less than 4 months to stay in Fiji. I guess, I'm still hoping to make some more friends before I leave. I mean, *close* friends. Or maybe not. At least, the fewer close friends I have, the fewer people I would miss when I go home. *emo* lol lol lol.

Don't Get 'Hooked' By Your Teenager

Be clear minded and self-controlled. 1 Peter 4:7 NIV

Teenagers can test your sanity. They're neither adult nor child, and can become either without notice. Flooding hormones and exploding neurons spark biochemical reactions in their heads and bodies. Words like, 'What in the world were you thinking?' form involuntarily on your lips. In response come sullen teenage shrugs, followed by the incomprehensible, 'I don't know.' And they don't! What can you do? 'Lock them up?' Sorry, that's illegal. But here are two things that will help.

1) Back off and slow down. 'Be clear minded and self-controlled.' One of the biggest mistakes parents make is overreacting, which triggers an escalating battle of wills you're unlikely to win. Decibel levels rise, wisdom fails, your teen concludes you're the crazy one, and suddenly there's no adult present and nobody's 'minding the store.' You've become part of the problem, leaving your child angry and insecure, without a rational role model. Pray, breathe deeply and count to ten! For your child's sake, it's time for the clear minded and self-controlled parent to prevail.

2) Remember, anger begets anger. 'An angry person starts fights; a hot-tempered person commits all kinds of sin' (Proverbs 29:22 NLT). No one can infuriate you like a teenager trying to grow up. A look, a word, an attitude, and you're 'hooked;' you're in a shouting match with your own child. How crazy is that? Emotionally charged exchanges hard wire your teenager's brain for automatic, long-term anger reactions. What's the answer? Use the carrot and stick approach of Scripture: 'Provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture [love and encouragement] and admonition [character building discipline] of the Lord' (Ephesians 6:4).

I so agree with these two points. Specially the second one. I myself, hate to be shouted at and when my parents do that, they will get what they want. lol. I know it's wrong but it's reality, even the Bible says that. hehe. Peace out! XD

Knowing Jesus, Who is God

Jesus! Who is he? Amazon.com has 175,986 books about him. Google has over 165 million references to him. He has profoundly and positively impacted every conceivable aspect of life on this planet. People throughout history had all sorts of ideas about him ranging from “a liberal” to “Higher Power” to “Santa Claus” to “an enlightened moral person.”

“What about you? Who do you say I am?" Jesus asked Peter in Matthew 16:15. “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God," replied Peter. John 20:30-31 says, “Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” Knowing Jesus personally and intimately is the central purpose of life. The destiny of every human being depends upon his relationship to Jesus because He is God. The result of believing in him is life. Jesus said in John 17:3, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus whom You have sent.” Who is Jesus? What does the Bible say about him? How do we get to know him?

Jesus is the God of the universe. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The traditional Jewish mindset would understand John to be saying that the Word is the creative power of God and is, in fact, God Himself. He created the universe. Colossians 1:16 says, “For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him.”

Jesus is the Lord of life. He is the Giver of life, and He is life eternal. “In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men” (John 1:4). This life is the opposite of death, destruction, and condemnation.

Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.” He gives life freely to those who ask to receive it. Jesus Christ is Life Eternal and He offers that life to us through the new birth—by being born again.

It is solely by God’s power, not ours, that we receive Life. Apart from Christ we are spiritually dead. When we put our faith in Jesus, believing and receiving Him into our hearts, we are made alive in Him!

Jesus is Light unquenchable. Light can never be overcome by darkness. John 1:5 says, “The Light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.” No darkness can and ever will overcome or extinguish Jesus.

“John came as a witness, to testify concerning that Light, so that through him all men might believe. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. The true Light that gives light to every man was coming into the world” (John 1:7-9). John knew it was not his responsibility to attract people to himself, but to bring them to Christ. In the same way, we are to be reflectors of the Light so that people might believe in Him.

Jesus is the Savior of sinners. “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth,” says John 1:14. Jesus is God revealed in the flesh. In John 1:29, John sees Jesus coming toward him and he says, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

This is a truth that echoes all the way from Genesis 3, the fall of man. Before God sent Adam and Eve out of the garden, He made garments from animal skins and by His grace, clothed them with it. This is a picture of how Jesus, the Lamb of God, would be slain to cover the shame of our sinfulness. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.

Throughout the Old Testament, we see the shed blood of a spotless lamb as a guilt offering for sin. Sin must be paid for by the shedding of blood and for centuries lamb after lamb was sacrificed daily at the Temple. Then one day, John saw Jesus and declared loudly that He is the Lamb, who once and for all takes away sins of the world, forever. “Christ is our Passover Lamb who was sacrificed for us” (1 Corinthians 5:7). He who knew no sin became sin for us on the cross so that we, who certainly know sin, might become the righteousness of God in Him. John testifies that this same Lamb is “the Son of God” (John 1:34). The God of the universe has become the Lamb to be our full and final sacrifice for sin.

“He who believes in Him is not judged,” says John 3:18. “He who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” There are two kinds of people: those who believe in Jesus, and those who are already judged because of unbelief. Which category do you fall under? More importantly…

What will you do with this Jesus? What will you do with Jesus, who is the Son of God, and has done so much for you? If you are a believer, worship Him! Be a witness for Him! Let your life’s desire be to know Jesus and to make Him known to others.

If you are not yet a believer but want to receive Him into your life, you can do so at this very moment. Believe that Jesus is the sacrificial Lamb and that He died on the cross in your place. His promise is that “as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

You need Jesus. Just between you and God, bow your head right now and pray from your heart. Tell your Creator and Savior that You believe in Him and receive Him as your Lord and Master. Then you will have Jesus forever. He will never leave you. He loves you.

Is Being A Christian Hard?

I got saved when I was like 6 years old. I knew I was a sinner so I repented and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. So that makes me a Christian since then. I grew up in Sunday School and went to a Christian School. It's actually a Baptist denomination so it has been a strong Christian background, plus it's kinda old school. No loud music, no raising of hands, no clapping, no dancing and your clothes should be really conservative. By the way, I'm now a Born Again Christian but I don't mock the Baptists. I believe that religion will never save us from Hell and get us to Heaven because the only way is through Jesus Christ. By repentance and acceptance of Him, we will be saved. A real Christian is have a personal relationship with God.

Being a Christian is definitely NOT the end of all the problems you have. Some people think that when you become a Christian, God will make your life perfect. He can do that but not too fast. Christianity is a journey. You will still encounter difficulties in life but of course, God will help you all the way as long as you rely on Him and keep the faith. This is how He tells us that we obviously need Him and He is the source of everything. He is the answer.

Another reason why we still struggle in life is because being a Christian makes Satan mad. He doesn't want us to follow God because all Satan wants is for us to commit sin and live with it. Being a Christian is hard because our enemy is Satan.

As a Christian, we must always try to endure all the pains. Believe in God always and keep the faith because one day, all of these will be gone.

Being a Christian might be hard but remember that with God, nothing is impossible! He is always there for us so we should always rely on Him.

Why Did You Send Me?

Then Moses went back to the LORD and protested, “Why have you brought all this trouble on your own people, Lord? Why did you send me? Ever since I came to Pharaoh as your spokesman, he has been even more brutal to your people. And you have done nothing to rescue them!” [Exodus 5:22-23]

In Exodus 5, Moses and Aaron approached Pharaoh, asking that he give the Israelites a short reprieve from their work so that they might hold a festival to honor the Lord. Predictably, Pharaoh responded negatively. In fact, he punished the Israelites because of what Moses and Aaron had done, which angered the Israelites. So Moses, no doubt feeling confused and betrayed by the Lord, complained to him, asking “Why did you send me?” (v. 22).

What Moses and Aaron experienced as leaders is quite common, actually. Though the details may differ, leaders of change almost always confront negative reactions. I experienced this time and again in the church. I remember one time when, in order to improve the flow of a worship service, I moved the offering from its usual place. One man was furious with me. “You prohibited me from worshiping God through my offering,” he insisted. Even such a relatively small change was traumatic for him. I felt disheartened, even though I believed I had done the right thing.

Even when, like Moses, we’re doing God’s will in bringing about change, we shouldn’t be surprised when people become angry with us. We may very well echo Moses’ complaint to God: “Why did you send me?” In situations like this, turning to God in honest prayer restores our confidence. It reminds us that transformational leadership is never easy, and that we cannot do it alone. But if we seek to please God above all, and if we rely on his strength, then God will use and bless our efforts, even if they don’t turn out how we had hoped.

QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION: Have you ever experienced a reaction to your leadership similar to what we read in Exodus 5? What did you do? What enables you to remain steadfast in the face of complaint and criticism?


PRAYER: Dear Lord, you know how discouraging it can be when our leadership begets negativity. Sometimes the very people we’re trying to help are the most critical of our efforts. This is hard, Lord. You know that, of course, because you’ve experienced this very sort of thing from your people for centuries.

Help us, Lord, when our leadership is poorly received. Give us the humility to examine what we’re doing, to make sure we’re pursuing the right course. Give us wisdom to make any changes that are warranted. And then, give us confidence in you, so that we might continue to be faithful as leaders, for your sake, no matter how people might be unhappy with us. Amen.

Hey guys!

Mahn, if you guys didn't know, I've been here in Fiji for more than 2 years. Yes that's right. Wow, it's been 2 years! haha. And counting... lol.

Anyways, I want to write something about how I lived here in Fiji for 2 years now. Hmmm. I was supposed to write it on our "second year anniversary" here in Fiji last May 29th. But apparently, I was kinda busy with some school stuffs. We just finished this school term, by the way. What a relief! haha.

So before I write a novel for my 2 years of my Fiji life, I wanted to post this stuff first! YAY. Why Did You Send Me? Why did God send me here in Fiji? I'll write some stuffs on what I've learned here and how did it change me in some ways. Well, it's been a blessing in disguise. God sent us here for a reason. It's His will.

Ahhh.. The next blog post will be a long one. I hope... haha. I hope my laziness won't strike me so I can share some wonderful stuffs with y'all!

Today, Monday, is my mom's birthday. Just right after Mothers' Day. Cool huh? Just one gift for two ocassions. lol

So yeah. Even if my mom didn't really take care of us when we were kids because she was also busy then, she's making up now. Although it's a bit corny because we're teenagers now, it's cool.

Mom is sometimes very temperamental. And like other moms, there are things that embarrass the kids, if you know what I mean. We hate it when she talks so much. lol. Haha. We're not very expressive but we love her. She always prays for us, one thing mom should really do. When she gets mad, she gets mad the whole day. lol

Unsaved Dating (Dating An Unbeliever)

Ok, if you still didn't understand what I'm talking about, this is about a Christian dating a non-Christian person.

Please note that I don't intend to offend anyone. This post is kinda for Christians but you are free to read it.

That was Pastor's sermon last night. And it was fun and I've learned from it. I mean, not that it's my first time to hear those things coz I've been saved since I was 6 years old. I basically know that commandment from II Corinthians 6:14, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: ..."

Why is this so? Why can't we date someone who doesn't believe what we believe in? Someone who is of a different faith?

Well, if a Christian person knowingly dated an unsaved one, he/she has already broken God's law. Read II Cor. 6:14-18. God commanded us to be with the people who are also walking with Him. According to the Kingdom of God, all relationships are to further enhance His Kingdom. That's why churches need couples living for Him.

As believers, we are to obey God and His commandments!



(When I say he, it means he or she.)

If a Christian dates an unsaved one because he is nice, then don't be deceived. He can be super nice now (because he likes you) but he could fall out of love and find someone else because he doesn't know about what is right in the sight of God and he could be doing what is not to be done. I mean you know how this world now operates when it comes to dating and relationships. Last week, Pastor talked about fornication. It's sex outside marriage, or now known as teenage sex. And that is an abomination of the Word of God. That's the danger of dating unsaved ones. No matter how gentleman he is, you will never know. A deceptive/ wrong relationship leads to a broken heart or worse, a broken marriage. Dating is not a friendship, it's the start of "the contract". Like, a marriage contract. lol.

As God’s Word has told us, what communion is there between the believer and unbeliever? They both have different goals, outlooks, and destinies. One lives for this world; the other looks forward to the next world. One will be with Jesus forever; the other will dwell in the lake of fire forever. 2 Cor 10:5-CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS, AND EVERY HIGH THING THAT EXALTETH ITSELF AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, AND BRINGING INTO CAPTIVITY EVERY THOUGHT TO THE OBEDIENCE (note obedience) OF CHRIST. You are not to fellowship with people that are unsaved; with those that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. Satan works through people, time and time again, to try to confuse or draw the believer away from his faith in Jesus Christ. Satan works through people to try to draw the believer away from serving Jesus. Satan will use people to embarrass and offend you. They may even use Scripture incorrectly to draw you away from God’s perfect will. Satan tried to do the same thing to Jesus. He tempted Jesus with Scripture, but when Jesus used the Word back, Satan had to flee. You need to not only study your Bible daily; you also need to obey it. You are to be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only-ref Ja 1:22. For it is not those who hear the Word that will be justified, but those who obey the Word.

So, there you have it. I wasn't thinking of dating an unsaved one. I did, once, but never again. And thank God I was not stupid enough to do things I will regret.

The sweetest thing when both are in the Will of God? Where God is the center of your relationship.. You can both serve Him. You can watch over each other. If a guy is a man of God who prays and reads the Bible, I could say he would be a wonderful husband and a good father. I'm not thinking to be a Pastor's wife though. lol

As what I've read from the book 101 Simple Lessons For Life by Marsha Marks, "It's better to be lonely single than lonely married."

I don't wanna be single forever though. lol. And hey, not all singles are lonely right! :p

Bill From The Corner

Three weeks ago, I met a guy named Bill Wilson. He told me about his life, and I asked permission to share his story; he agreed. Bill Wilson is the pastor of the biggest Sunday School in the whole world — 25,000 children aged 12 and below in Brooklyn, New York City.

I said, “Bill, what gave you a heart to care for children?” He said, “When I was 12 years old, my mother told me, ‘I cannot take this anymore. Stay in this corner.’ My mother left me in Florida on a street corner and she told me, ‘Just stay here. I’m leaving. Don’t move.’” For the next three days, he was all alone on that street corner. Imagine, a 12-year-old boy left alone in St. Petersburg, Florida on a street corner, for three days.

He said, “Somebody came along, a Christian, who was on his way to save the life of his wife because his wife had leukemia. But he took time to talk to me. I told him what happened and he gave me money. He told me to go to this church camp. He sent me there and when I went to the camp, I learned about Jesus. I learned about God and how much He loves me.

“So when the invitation came to those who want to receive Jesus, to those who want to put their faith in Jesus, I went forward. Many young people went forward. But I discovered another thing. “After the retreat, the pastor invited me to live in the church. The church had a closet, and that was my room for the next three years. I slept in the closet of the church. And everyday, a lady, a member of the church would bring food. I ate one meal a day for the next three years until I finished high school.

When I finished high school, I began to work. Then somebody told me, ‘Bill, you go to Bible school. God will use you.’ Whatever people told me, that was what I did. I had no money. By faith, I went to finish Bible school. And then the church told me to help in the Sunday school. So I began to help Sunday school and it began to grow. It kept growing and growing.”

Now, he’s the pastor of the largest youth church in America: 25,000 children in Brooklyn, New York. And he said, “Every year, every December 24, I go to Florida and I stay on that street corner the whole day, the whole night.” I asked him why. He said, “I want to remember where I came from. And that’s why I love children. Because somebody cared for me.”

I told you this story because if God were to tell Bill 40 years ago what He was going to do, Bill would not believe it. In fact, Bill would not allow God to do that in his life. If God had told Bill, “Bill, do you know what’s going to happen? Your mother is going to leave you, your father is going to leave you, you will be left all alone,” do you think Bill would have said, “Ok, Lord. Ok?” No, no.

You see, God does not always tell you what he’s going to do because many times you cannot take it and you cannot understand it. But you and I need to continue trusting Him. (PTC)

Meditation On Facets Of Joy

Like a diamond, joy has many facets that can be seen only by examining its many sides. Joy, according to C.S. Lewis, is quite opaque to evil and the evil one, because all evil is baffled and offended by the essence of joy.

Joy is the result of truth. Joy is the “gigantic secret” of God (G.K. Chesterton) that the world could never have expected, but it clears the air so that we see things as they really are.

Joy causes celebration. Gladness and song go with joy; the slightest witticisms cause laughter when joy is present. There’s energy in joy that cures fatigue and discouragement. This is what James says in his letter to churches that face persecution: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds” (James 1:2)

Joy has a rhythm. Jesus unites peace with joy in his Thursday night discourse. Joy is a quietness as much as an exuberance. Together the two create a fundamental rhythm.

Joy is presence. It describes our relationship with God. Joy comes from knowing the Lord and knowing that the Lord is nearby. In the New Testament, joy is related to prayer and friendship with God. Jesus invites his disciples to pray so their joy might be full (John 15:11–17).

Joy is a protection. Laughter can be a sign of the dignity and resilience of brave hearts in the face of danger.

In J.R.R. Tolkien’s story The Lord of the Rings, Frodo and his friend Sam Gamgee laugh out loud high on the dangerous reaches of the dark tower where laughter had never been heard. Their laughter causes quakes on the mountain that had so long been under the oppressive control of evil. Their laughter was defiant, innocent, and profoundly good at the same moment. It was good because it had its source in joy, and that made it powerful as well as destructive against the powers of evil.

Evil cannot understand joy. The devil is more austere and serious than God is, which makes us stop and think that if we are to feel at home in heaven, we will need to enjoy joy because “joy is the serious business of heaven” (G.K. Chesterton).

The Best Sister In The World

Nineteen years ago, God blessed me with the most wonderful sister in the world. :D I'm sorry guys, she's meant to be my sister. haha :p

Today, is the 19th birthday of my younger sister, April Lei. She's the youngest in our family and we're like one year apart. She's pretty, like me. lol. Here's a picture of her: (She's gonna kill me when she sees this because I'm showing her photo in the world wide web. I hope not. lmao)

Me and my sister are the closest in the family. We are like best friends too. She's my 'other half'. We share stories, secrets, and anything sisters can share. Except clothes because we're not of the same size, lol. She's also my accountability partner. She's my best companion, and I can also call her my conscience when I do something not good. I'm also like that to her as well. When we were kids, we used to think we were twins because our parents sometimes dress us with same clothes! haha.

Anyways, I just wanna tell the world how happy I am to have a sister like her. Woohoo.

And wanna say sorry if 'Ate' (older sister in our language) is stubborn and lazy. Ahh, I hate to think she sometimes do things the older sister must do. Shame, I know. :p But well, I'm thankful of that and I hope I can repay her in the future. I'm gonna send her to Harvard. lol. *Childhood dreams* haha.

I Want An Aviator Shades

Well oh well. I know I seldom write fashion stuffs here. In fact, this is like the first ever, I think. haha. But now, I really want to buy an aviator shades. I was always looking for it when we go to shops. I was ready to buy one a few days ago but I didn't because I'm not gonna use it any sooner. And I don't know if I could really like wear it because I have my eyeglasses. Ugh. It's such a big hassle for me. Anyhoo, whatever. I'm getting one REAL SOON! harhar.

Ok, you guys might be thinking who's that guy on the right. That's Gerald Anderson, a Filipino actor. OMG. Isn't he hot in his aviators? lol. Honestly, him wearing aviators really influenced me on getting one. haha. :p

I want this Marc Jacobs one. Gorgeous. I wish I can get one here in Fiji though. lol


I just fell in love with aviators. haha. I want this white frame. I hope I can find one. Ugh. Wayfarer is fine too, but I hate bumblebee shades. I don't know, I just don't feel like it. It doesn't suit me because I have a round face. lol.

What My Dream Job Is

So, I went to a job interview this afternoon and met the Managing Director and CEO of Oceanic Communications. We discussed some stuffs about online marketing. Funny how we met online, on Twitter. Ahh, don't you just love the power of Social Media? :)

Okay, so there I was discussing some stuffs with him until he asked me what my dream job is.

I told him I really wanted to build by own business since I'm all into internet marketing stuff or home business kind of thing. I love the fact that we can now make money online while staying at home. Ahh, the internet dream! Well, not just all business online, I also want to have a coffee shop, restaurant and a clothing line. (Too many plans, huh? This is my blog so I can write whatever I want! haha) I want to have my own business to spend more time with my family and do more things for God through ministry. Why in ministry? You're not gonna make money there, Fei. Yeah I know. That's why there's my business, right? :p I believe that the best investment in this world is still the Kingdom of God so it's always a part of my dreams and plans. I also want to help charities and foundations.. Yes, I want to be a Philanthropist. :)

Ok anyways, before I dreamt of being an entrepreneur myself, I used to dream of becoming a Doctor when I was a kid. haha. But I realized I'm so afraid of blood so nevermind. In High School, I wanted to work in a Corporate environment. In fact, my ambition in our yearbook says Business Executive. (I'm too shy to write CEO there. lol) YeHa. Just like this picture on the right. I love it when I watch movies where women work in the corporate offices at the Big Apple (NYC). I imagined myself walking to my office with my favorite Starbucks drink on my left hand and a Blackberry on my right. HAHAHA. Oh-kay, that's not exactly the one on the photo. :p And not really in NYC. lol

So there ya go. I just thought of blogging about my dream job. Hihi. I wish to work for myself so I have all the time in the world. But for now, while saving up money for my business, I should work. I would love to work in Oceanic but we'll see how things go. I wish I could 'legally' work here in Fiji. Sigh. Why does the temporary residence permit here doesn't allow us to work? tsktsk. lol.

Certified Chocoholic

I am a self confessed chocolate addict. I love chocolates, different kinds of chocolates, even dark chocolates. lol. I crave for chocolates every now and then. Chocolates like Toblerone, Hershey's, M&M's, Snickers, and many more... Chocolate cakes, chocolate ice cream, chocolate biscuits, and of course, the Starbucks signature hot chocolate! Everything chocolatey is L-O-V-E.

So, I Googled something about why we women love chocolates. Actually, guys who like chocolates is a turn on for me. lol. Just make sure he gives me chocolates too. lol.


Sinful is how women has always described chocolate. But despite so, do you know that 99% of all women love chocolate and that they may actually prefer chocolate more to than to sex?

What exactly about chocolate is it so wonderful? Well, in fact it is not just the women who love it but almost everybody would love it too. I believe you enjoy chocolate just as much? It always feels so nice to have it melted in your mouth, delivering its wonderful taste right through your tongue, doesn’t it?

Well its wonderful taste aside, chocolate contains phenylethylamine - the same chemical that is released in your brain when you fall in love; leading to that increase in the pounding of your heart, feeling of a sudden gush of excitement. “Love Chemical” is what some would call it. It is also believed by researcher that phenylethylamine in turn causes the brain to release mesolimbic dopamine in the pleasure centers of the brain, another chemical where its presence is at peak during an orgasm.

Nevertheless, the sweetness from chocolate also triggers the release of endorphins. Think about those blissful feeling you had after a wonderful session of lovemaking. That is the effect from the production of endorphins in your body. Perhaps that is why some women actually remarked that they felt a feeling of elation when eating chocolate.

Well, a perfect gift for your love, chocolate will be. Just like buying roses during Valentine’s Day, chocolate can never go wrong. In fact, the both could be the best combination ever. Do you know that roses also contain the “Love Chemical”, Phenylethylamine? That explains for its distinct scent.

Have you ever thought about why you like to eat chocolate so much? Most of us would answer "because it tastes so good" but there is much more to it than that. There are some studies that show what kind of physical effects you can have eating certain types of chocolates. Chocolate stimulates your taste buds in a way that makes you want to come back for more. It also gives you a good feeling of well being, that your body wants to experience again. Chocolate is well known to be a mood lifter, it stimulates the brainwaves and lowers the stress levels. This could be the reason why lots of people stuff themselves with chocolate when they are upset or angry.

Actually they are unknowingly helping themselves out by eating chocolates. When your lower your stress levels, the more relaxed you become, which in turn is a plus for your health.

Facing Depression Head On

Always feeling under the weather? Always not in the mood to be around others and have a good time? If you’re suffering from prolonged sadness for quite some time now, you should face these bouts of depression and get yourself diagnosed by a psychiatrist, they’re doctors who can actually help you out with your problem.

Depression or prolonged sadness is actually quite common in the United States, around 9.5 percent of the American population actually suffer from this illness, however, not all of them get to be treated, thus, depression and its ill-effects continue to be a burden to some individuals. This illness may seem quite simple to treat but in reality, it takes more than a little cheering up to actually cure depression. Cognitive behavioral talk or interpersonal talk are just some of the available psychosocial treatments that cognitive behavior therapists can offer to their patients, both actually prove to be able to produce fruitful and positive results.

Still, people tend to not recognize depression even it’s right before their eyes, being honest with one’s self is key to being able to cure such an illness. Never overlook the various symptoms, depressed individuals oftentimes exhibit uncharacteristic behaviors such as suddenly lacking interest in one’s hobbies (or other stuff that he or she usually enjoys), sleeps too much or actually aren’t able to get some shut-eye, suddenly becoming anti-social, talks a lot about death or being a worthless person. There are actually a lot more other symptoms but in case these already fit in your category or of someone that you know of, go to a reputable psychiatrist at once in order to see if the depression is still at an early stage or not. From here you’ll be able to assess how the treatments will actually go.

Depression shouldn’t be something that people fear of, instead, people should just start taking charge of their lives and actually face this illness and fight it. Life is too beautiful a gift to waste and if one will spend the majority of his or her life just moping around about every single little thing then what kind of life would that be? Depression may not kill one’s body but it’ll certainly kills one’s spirit if you’ll let it. Don’t be a victim.

Vote Earth - Your Light Switch Is Your Vote

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.
